摘要: Abstract This paper reviews the principal marine and coastal policy changes in England since 1999. The key identified are establishment of a strategic national direction, new legislation institutions, emergence planning framework, consolidation Integrated Coastal Zone Management approaches to governance, Marine Protected Area network, decline partnerships. European Union, UK National Government, devolved administrations as influences on governance evolution their relative contributions discussed. It is concluded that English context has evolved significantly 1999 if implemented successfully, represents genuine step towards an integrated framework for England's coasts seas.
