摘要: Studies of shortwave reflectance properties fall into two broad categories: (1) those dealing with the total band (albedo) and (2) concerned spectral characteristics terrestrial surfaces. Despite importance radiation as primary energy source for most physical biological processes, information regarding reflective Arctic landscapes is scarce. Albedo a key variable affecting surface balance (Chap. 6, this Vol.), whereas may be used to infer biophysical quantities such biomass or vegetation composition 18, Vol.). Spectral radiances also constitute basic data in classical remote sensing studies (e.g., land cover classification) (Stow et al. 1989; Walsh Davis 1994).
