摘要: Obesity is a major and growing health care concern. Large epidemiologic studies that evaluated the relationship between obesity mortality, observed higher body-mass index (BMI) associated with increased rate of death from several causes, among them cardiovascular disease; which particularly true for those morbid obesity. Being overweight was also decreased survival in studies. Unfortunately, obese subjects are often exposed to public disapproval because their fatness significantly affects psychosocial behavior. All patients (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m(2)) should receive counseling on diet, lifestyle, exercise goals weight management. Individuals BMI 40 kg/m(2) > 35 obesity-related comorbidities; who failed exercise, drug therapy, be considered bariatric surgery. In current review article, we will shed light important medical principles each surgeon/gastroenterologist needs know about surgical procedure, special concern early post operative period. Additionally, explain common complications usually follow surgery elucidate guidelines For first 24 h after surgery, postoperative priorities include pain management, leakage, nausea vomiting, intravenous fluid pulmonary hygiene, ambulation. Patients maintain low calorie liquid diet few days gradually changed soft solid food within two or three weeks following Later, monitored complications. Hypertension, diabetes, dumping syndrome, gastrointestinal psychosomatic disorders most conditions discussed this review.
