摘要: Nutrient loadings and lake water quality are inextricably linked. Excessive of nitrogen and, particularly, phosphorus cause lakes to become eutrophic often exhibit noxious algal blooms (Vollenweider 1968; Schindler 1977). While the role nutrients in eutrophication is widely accepted, ability zooplankton such as Daphnia graze algae thus ameliorate problems less certain for (McQueen 1990). Because blue-green can be inedible, that have excessive summer may not respond fish population manipulations produced “top-down” responses (Carpenter, Ch. 23; Gulati et al. 1990; Elser Goldman 1991).
