摘要: Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the sex-dependent differences in response key parameters involved thermogenesis and control body weight brown adipose tissue (BAT) white (WAT) postcafeteria-fed rats, a model dietary obesity. Research Methods Procedures: BAT WAT were obtained from male female Wistar rats. Postcafeteria-fed rats initially fed with cafeteria diet day 10 life until 110 (cafeteria period) standard chow then 180 (postcafeteria period). Body mass energy intake evaluated. Biometric analyzed interscapular (IBAT). Levels uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1), α2-adrenergic receptor (AR), β3-AR proteins UCP1, UCP2, UCP3, β3-AR, leptin mRNAs, IBAT or WAT, studied by Western blot Northern analyses, respectively. Results: Rats attained 59% (females) 39% (males) increase at end period. During postcafeteria period, showed loss weight, which higher females. also presented activation thermogenic IBAT, including UCP3 mRNAs. Female lower levels both α2 β3-ARs compared but these same, because males tended down-regulate them. mRNA state depended on gender specific depot studied. Discussion: It is suggested that capacity becomes more efficiently activated than males. bigger loss. parallel regulation UCP2 respect UCP1 mRNA, suggests possible role expenditure weight. distinct responses overweight β3-ARs—which sex dependent—and mRNA—which depot—also support different thermogenesis-related between
