摘要: Trust guidelines and policies outline recommendations for the management of common clinical non-clinical situations, serving to standardise best practice. Prior this project, there was no consolidated location these documents. Lack organisational structure inadequate search functionality within trust intranet led time wasted locating information, acting outside recognised practice, ultimately potentially compromising patient safety. We surveyed 55 junior doctors, 95% respondents were dependent on a daily basis. 20% spending greater than 5 minutes locate protocols 38% unable some relevant documents at all. analysed taken doctors six randomly selected protocols.
