摘要: Abstract Sustained and vigorous fetal breathing activity was produced in a chronic lamb preparation by infusion into the fetus of either NH 4 Cl or HCl. Over 2 to 3 hour period, 20 25 mEq/kg were infused. All fetuses tolerated blood pH values 6.7 6.8 survived. The began after completion infusion, consisted regular 30 50 torr inspirations at rate 60 120 breaths/min. This continous for as much 8 hours, persisted with pauses decreased amplitude 24 36 hours. During breathing, flow diaphragm intercostal muscles increased approximately 12- sixfold, respectively.
