摘要: Pregnancy was induced in cats by coordinating gonadotropin-induced behavioral estrus and ovulation with natural matings. Reproductive indices were comparable those already known for pregnancies normally cycling estrous cats. Cats orally administered 0, 0.03, 0.83, 0.25, or 0.75 mg/kg Hg (as CH3HgCl) from day 10–58 of pregnancy at near term fetuses delivered Cesarean section. caused vomiting, ataxia, death within 32 days commencement treatment. At 0.25 there an increased incidence abortion fetal anomalies; surviving a reduced neuronal population the external granular layer cerebellum noticed. Minimal no embryopathic effects noted lower doses. Mercury concentrations determined following decreasing order: blood > maternal brain. The brain test dams had similar concentrations. literature on congenital anomalies is briefly reviewed.
