摘要: The purpose, development and the first results of a new test method, an SEMin-situ 3-point flexural are presented. A large SEM chamber housing eucentric tensile testing rig has been redesigned fitted with apparatus enabling microfracture processes in bending to be simultaneously scanned corresponding load/deflection other data parameters accurately recorded. facility provides opportunity obtain quantitative qualitative considerably more relevant fracture concerned than those obtained when previous tests used. It is now possible examine specimens realistic size including different types reinforcement bending, very common practical mode loading. method initially applied investigation mechanism glass fibre reinforced cement (GRC) where have shown major differences between performance aged unaged GRC. Thein-situ offers effective tool for complex micro-fracture mechanics composites as represented by bundles fibres.
