摘要: Abstract Atomic sulfur S ( 3 p 4 P ) was generated in the photolysis of OCS at 248 nm and exited to state by ultraviolet two-photon absorption 308 nm. Transfer from 4s infrared radiation and/or collisions with ambient gases followed vacuum (VUV) fluorescence via  →  transition 180 nm. The time-resolved VUV intensity recorded varying pressures N2. Kinetic analyses have given not only overall rate coefficient for quenching N2 but also branching ratio state.
