摘要: Abstract Although the applications of Proteomics in Human Biomedicine have been explored for some time now, animal and veterinary research, potential this resource has just started to be explored, especially when companion health is considered. In last years, knowledge on Canis lupus familiaris proteome accumulating literature a compiling all information critically reviewing it was lacking. This article presents such first time. CanisOme database proteins identified tissues, either or disease, annotated with present sample donors. reunites 549 proteins, associated 63 dog diseases 33 breeds. Examples how may used produce new hypothesis disease mechanisms presented both through functional analysis quantified canine cutaneous mast cell tumors study interactome C. Leishmania infantum. Therefore, usefulness researchers looking protein biomarkers dogs interested comprehensive demonstrated. Biological significance paper CanisOme, proteomic studies relevant annotation, allowing enlightenment discovery novel familiaris. important not only improvement but also use as models human studies.
