摘要: A liquid crystal display and a method of driving the same capable improving contrast properties by implementing local dimming achieving slimness are provided. The includes panel which displays picture; backlight unit including light guide plate part in first channels direction second intersected with formed, array for illuminating to channels, respectively, wherein blocks defined intersection channels; controller analyzing an input picture correspond obtain values independently controlling luminances sources array, determining based on values, adjusting so that luminance difference between neighboring caused is decreased.
