摘要: We retrieved ovarian sections taken from necropsies of 19 captive chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes) aged 0–47 yr, counted the number primordial follicles in each, and compared rate decline numbers to declines previously documented humans. The follicular depletion this sample was indistinguishable that shown across same ages classic human data sets. This result supports earlier suggestions senescence occurs at humans, implying influence declining function on other physiologic systems may be distinctively buffered aging, chimpanzee, follicle, ovary
