摘要: Atmospheric plasma jets are being intensively studied with respect to potential applications in medicine. The aim of this vitro study was test a microwave-powered non-thermal atmospheric jet for its antimicrobial efficacy against adherent oral micro-organisms. Agar plates and dentin slices were inoculated 6 log(10) c.f.u. cm(-2) Lactobacillus casei, Streptococcus mutans Candida albicans, Escherichia coli as control. Areas 1 cm(2) on the agar or complete irradiated helium 0.3, 0.6 0.9 s mm(-2), respectively. incubated at 37 degrees C, vortexed liquid media suspensions placed plates. killing assessed by counting number areas plates, well determination recovered from slices. A microbe-killing effect found parts L. S. mutans, C. albicans E. coli. plasma-jet treatment reduced 3-4 intervals comparison recovery rates untreated controls. correlated increasing irradiation times. Thus, could be used disinfection dental surfaces.
