Multisession Cognitive Bias Modification Targeting Multiple Biases in Adolescents with Elevated Social Anxiety

摘要: Research studies applying cognitive bias modification of attention (CBM-A) and interpretations (CBM-I) training to reduce adolescent anxiety by targeting associated biases have found mixed results. This study presents a new multi-session, combined CBM package, which uses mix techniques stimuli enhance user-engagement. We present preliminary data on its viability, acceptability effectiveness reducing symptoms using an A–B case series design. 19 adolescents with elevated social reported their anxiety, real-life behaviours, general depression, at pre/post time-points during 2-week baseline phase intervention phase. Retention rate was high. Adolescents also finding the helpful, particularly CBM-I. Greater reductions in negative behaviour, characterised but not There significant correlation between interpretation change symptom change. Our enhanced multi-session programme delivered school-setting appeared viable acceptable. Training-associated improvements will require further verification active control condition/group.
