摘要: An apparatus is programmed with a plurality of programming instructions for generating, if possible, an alternative disk block allocation current that will yield improved overall access time sequence accesses. In some embodiments, the include logic tracing accesses to determine allocation, generating using trace results, and effectuating alternate generated. one particular embodiment, employs random search approach, while in another heuristic approach.
