摘要: Synopsis The constitution of the aluminium-manganese-zinc alloys was examined, in range 0–6 per cent, manganese and 0–40 zinc, by establishment a 500° C. isothermal. With increasing MnAl6, T1, MnAl4 enter successively into equilibrium with aluminium-zinc solid solution (α). T1 is ternary compound analogous to corresponding compounds systems aluminium-manganese-nickel aluminium-manganese-copper. Solidus curves, at constant contents, agree results state. (α+T1 +MnAl6) melt 542° 545° C., while (α+T1+MmAl4) 508° Similar work on aluminium-manganese-cadmium 600° reveals no compound. Thus nickel, copper zinc are within zone favourable atomic size for formation type considered, cadmium, larger atom, outside. growth twins crystals observed described.
