Observing the Effects of Mindfulness-Based Meditation on Anxiety and Depression in Chronic Pain Patients.

摘要: Background: People whose chronic pain limits their independence are especially likely to become anxious and depressed. Mindfulness training has shown promise for stress-related disorders. Methods: Chronic patients who complained of anxiety depression scored higher than moderate in the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) Hospital Anxiety (HADS) as well Quality Life (QOLS) were observed eight weeks, three days a week an hour Meditation with daily home practice. Pain was evaluated on study entry completion, given Patients' Global Impression Change (PGIC) score at end program. Results: Forty-seven (47) completed Training Over year-long observation, demonstrated noticeable improvement depression, anxiety, pain, global impression change. Conclusions: suffer may benefit from incorporating into treatment plans.
