摘要: Patients with cancer may report neuropsychiatric abnormalities including cognitive impairment, behavioral disturbances, and psychiatric disorders that potentially worsen their quality of life, reduce treatment response, aggravate overall prognosis. Neuropsychiatric disturbances have a different pathophysiology, immuno-inflammatory neuroendocrine mechanisms, as consequence oncologic treatments (chemo- radio-therapy). Among clinicians involved in the management such patients, psychiatrists need to pay particular attention recognizing arise determining those be effectively treated psychotropic medications, psychotherapeutic interventions, an integration them. Through contribution actively oncological present review is ultimately aimed at updating relation pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for onset cognitive, affective, syndromes these along epidemiologic clinical considerations therapeutic perspectives.
