摘要: Cirrhotic heart has been traditionally considered protected from cardiovascular disease, even if a large amount of literature recently shown that patients affected by chronic liver disease are exposed to events, as well. Since the first recognition cardiac involvement in cirrhosis, all published studies explain decompensated cirrhotic suffer haemodynamic changes, currently known hyperdynamic syndrome, which finally lead cardiomyopathy. This is defined presence subclinical systolic dysfunction unmasked under stress conditions, impaired diastolic function and electrophysiological abnormalities, absence any disease. In this review, we will discuss clinical diagnostic features condition, prevalence associated comorbidities, echocardiographic, electrocardiographic magnetic resonance hallmarks possible role serum biomarkers.
