摘要: Background: Numerous studies have been done regarding health problems experienced by tourists in developing countries; however, little data exist about these risks and illnesses corporate travelers. Methods: The authors examined electronic survey the encountered, compliance with pretravel recommendations, injuries employees of Coca-Cola Company who travel internationally. Results: Two hundred twenty-six travelers responded. Although most ate meals at their hotels chose foods that were cooked still hot, over half also remained room temperature for prolonged periods and/or from cold salad bars. Almost drank untreated tap water. Thirty-five percent developed diarrhea 29% reported respiratory illnesses, 12% seeking medical attention problems. Forty-three those traveling to malarious regions admitted noncompliance antimalarial recommendations. Health kits provided used only 51% travelers. Conclusions: many followed some did not. Injuries, fever, such as infections occurred. Strategies improve access clinic acquisition information are being implemented. behaviors travelers, including potential impact psychosocial stressors, need greater attention.
