摘要: “Translational initiation” consists of an ill-defined number interrelated steps preceding the formation first peptide bond. In Escherichia coli, in addition to mRNA, fmet-tRNA, and ribosomal subunits, initiation involves requires three factors (IF-1, IF-2, IF-3) a GTP molecule. Fundamental problems concerning how mRNA region initiator tRNA are recognized, role played by GTP, important mechanistic aspects, including mechanism which ejected from ribosomes, still remain open.
