摘要: We investigated chemical weathering in a high elevation granitic environment three selected watersheds located the Pyrenees (France). The sites were on glacial deposits derived from similar Hercynian (∼300 Ma) granites characterized by occurrence of zoned plagioclases and trace calcic phases (epidote, prehnite, sphene, apatite). surface waters at those show Ca/Na molar ratios (>1) which could not be explained dissolution major plagioclase (oligoclase) present rocks. coupled approach investigating stream water chemistry mineralogy rocks soils allowed us to explore role minerals calcium export watershed scale. represent ∼ 1% total rock volume are responsible for more than 90% sites. Annual cationic fluxes (∼ 23.104 eq/km2/yr) calculated Estibere among highest reported systems draining 80% this annual flux can attributed phases. Calculations based isotopic values (87Sr/86Sr) go same direction. Except apatite, appear mainly silicates, thus type observed may have an influence atmospheric CO2 consumption granite weathering. However, comparison with other environments worldwide, two Pyrenees, indicate that is important most young exposed (e.g., catchments deposits). Other factors such as date retreat, physical denudation rate, hydrological functioning nature structure soil cover also important.
