摘要: ABSTRACT Objective: to describe the mental health profile of elderly registered in a Family Health Unit city Recife, Pernambuco State. Method: it was descriptive quantitative study, conducted with 159 through scales Geriatric Depression, Resilience, Social Support, Life Satisfaction, and Positive Negative Affects, Mini-Mental State Examination, Stressful Events Inventory Brazil Old Age Shedule. Results: females, young literate predominated. Most were satisfied life, 52.2% without depressive symptoms, 68.6% cognitive impairment, 67.9% high resilience 95.8% social support, but 62% symptoms showed deficit. correlation identified between depression resilience, support life satisfaction. Conclusion: assessment these indicators identifies triggers psychological distress, assisting nursing staff development preventive care actions.
