摘要: Abstract Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is an established adjunctive modality for treatment of both acute and chronic wounds. However, little known about the optimal settings combination parameters importantly, how these translate to target tissue strains stresses that would result fastest healing buildup good-quality tissues. Here we have used a three-dimensional open computational (finite element) model contains viscoelastic skin, adipose skeletal muscle components determining states in around when subjected NPWT with foam dressings varying stiffnesses. We found skin strain state considerably more sensitive level than stiffness dressing within 8.25 99 kPa range which covers current industry standard. Accordingly, peri-wound stimulate cell proliferation/migration angiogenesis thereby, wound, can be effectively controlled by adjusting dressing.
