摘要: ABSTRACT Background Sarcoidosis is a multifactorial systemic inflammatory disorder of unknown origin characterized by many potential signs and symptoms, as well the presence noncaseating granulomas in organs involved. also may manifest oral maxillofacial region. Case Description The authors describe patient with xerostomia, dysgeusia, burning, xerophthalmia bilateral parotid enlargement. She was diagnosed having sarcoidosis on basis histologic findings biopsy labial minor salivary gland, subsequent diagnostic evaluations. Conclusion Clinical Implications Enlargement major glands be first sign few other symptoms or clinical suggestive disease. This case emphasizes importance including differential diagnosis swelling associated xerostomia. It highlights dentist's role dental treatment patients sarcoidosis.
