摘要: PURPOSE: The aim of the current study was to compare immunocytochemical expression ki-67, HER-2 and p53 on ThinPrep (TP)-processed smears, obtained by preoperative fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies from primary breast carcinoma with immunohistochemical results corresponding surgical samples. METHODS: FNA were collected 119 female patients during a 31-month period. Subsequently, these underwent resection tumors. RESULTS: overall accuracy (OA) TP cytology for 96, 99 97%, respectively. There strong positive correlation between immunohistochemistry immunocytochemistry ki-67 (Spearman's test 0.875) (Cramer's phi 0.965) (Kendall's tau 0.891). CONCLUSION: This pilot demonstrates that it is possible monitor multiple molecular markers using cytology. Sample collection storage simple permits assortment sample both morphologic diagnosis ancillary studies. technique in evaluation comparable those histological evaluation, could be paramount importance planning treatment.
