摘要: As the demand for a cost efficient and environmental friendly pavement stabilisation method increases, so has foamed bitumen unbound granular layers started to gain broad acceptance worldwide. The work forms part of larger project aimed at investigating feasibility potential applications technique in order speed up its adoption New Zealand. In this paper, cost-analysis exercise comparing capital eight base course alternatives addition hot mix asphalt (HMA) alternative was made. Cement, lime foam versus HMA design were compared. stabilised represents high quality material with 2.0% cement 3.5% bitumen. results analysis showed that using aggregates about 2% is competitive compared materials because reduced layer thickness required.
