摘要: The intermediate mesoderm lies between the somites and lateral plate is source of all kidney tissue in developing vertebrate embryo. While bone morphogenetic protein (Bmp) signaling known to regulate mesodermal cell type determination along medio-lateral axis, its role formation has not been well characterized. current study finds that low high levels Bmp ligand are both necessary sufficient activate gene expression, respectively, vivo vitro. Dose-dependent activation genes by cell-autonomous, as demonstrated electroporation avian embryo with constitutively active receptors driven promoters varying strengths. In explant cultures, Odd-skipped related 1 (Odd-1), earliest expressed mesoderm, blocked cyclohexamide, indicating Odd-1 translation-dependent. data from this integrated other studies generate a model for trunk patterning which expression inhibition repressors present medial whereas repress genes.
