摘要: We screened 78 native and 94 exotic turtles from natural ponds 39 pet for presence of Salmonella, resulting with infection rates 6.61%, 6.4%, 5.1%, respectively. Concurrent shedding multiple serotypes the bacteria was only detected in one turtle. Eleven isolates were obtained free-living turtles, including commonly found reptiles also serotype Typhimurium, which is related to human infections. In five isolated different those had been reported cause reptile-associated salmonellosis humans. These results confirm risk transmission Salmonella humans, demanding necessity regulation turtle trade Europe.
