摘要: Eight-hundred fifty-five newborns were enrolled in a prospective study between 1978 and 1982 then followed through school age. To determine whether the mode of infant feeding affected developmental scores or grades, data collected on how children fed; 788 had Bayley tests at 6 months, 720 12 676 18 months 670 2 years. McCarthy testing was done 645 3 years, 628 4 years 636 5 Testers not specifically blind to method. The families provided report cards from grade higher for 366 children. There statistically significant but small increases among breast-fed least some subscales all time points slightly English grades both crude analyses multivariate that allowed adjustment most plausible confounding variables. We conclude that, volunteer, 95% white sample middle class children, those scored better than bottle effect is still detectable
