摘要: Sick sinus syndrome (SSS) is usually a disease of the elderly produced by idiopathic degeneration sinoatrial node. Its initial manifestations range from asymptomatic to nonspecific and include palpitations, fatigue, confusion, even syncope sudden death. Electrocardiographic evidence SSS includes inappropriate bradycardia, pause or arrest, exit block. These bradyarrhythmias may alternate with tachyarrhythmias, especially atrial fibrillation, create tachycardia-bradycardia syndrome. The diagnosis be established electrocardiography ambulatory monitoring in majority cases. Medications such as digoxin, beta-blockers, calcium blockers initiate worsen SSS. Permanent pacing indicated for symptomatic bradyarrhythmias. Progression mostly dependent on presence severity associated coronary hypertensive heart disease.
