摘要: Abstract – Whether bacteria live or die in periapical lesions of endodontic origin is debated. Sampling difficult due to possible contamination from the indigenous microflora. The aim this study was examine whether were present asymptomatic teeth before sampling transferred there during sampling. Thirty patients with root-filled and radiolucencies divided into two groups, each containing 15 patients. In Group 1, a marginal incision made explore lesion. 2, submarginal made. Before incision, gingiva mucosa washed 0.2% chlorhexidine gluconate. Bacterial samples taken reflecting flap, alveolar bone lesion immediately after. All cultured anaerobically on all-purpose selective media. 12 (80%) yielded their mucosal despite wash. growth observed all (100%) while gave bacterial 11 cases (73%). (73%) Three (20%) 10 (67%) positive growth. predominant cultivable anaerobic. Phenotypic profiling, performed data-based API bioMerieux system, indicated that technique used prevented reaching exposed lesions. Profiling also following periodontal pocket might have reached underlying tissues by surgeon-released bacteremia direct translocation. Most organisms detected clearly different at neighboring sites appeared been
