摘要: The outcome was reviewed in 70 patients with computed tomographic (CT) and clinical evidence of periappendiceal inflammatory masses. On the basis initial CT scan, were divided into three broad categories: (a) phlegmons or abscesses less than 3 cm (n = 32); (b) well-defined well-localized greater 28); (c) extensive, poorly defined either pelvic, retroperitoneal, interloop involvement 10). Thirty-two small treated initially antibiotic therapy alone; resolution process occurred 28 (88%). Twenty-eight underwent percutaneous catheter drainage, which successful 26 (93%). Nine ten early surgical drainage for abscesses. One patient as a temporizing measure before surgery. There false-positive diagnoses this series.
