摘要: INTRODUCTION: Laparoscopic rectopexy for complete rectal prolapse offers short-term advantages compared with operations performed by laparotomy. The aim of this prospective study was to report technical and functional outcome after laparoscopic the promontory in consecutive patients operated on a single surgeon. PATIENTS AND METHODS: From May 1996 July 2004, 54 (47 women), median age 53 years (range: 16-84 years), underwent prolapse. Preoperative evaluation included physical examination, dynamic videoproctography and, constipation, colonic transit time (with radiopaque markers). Postoperative same examinations simple global quality-of-life questionnaire. RESULTS: Conversion laparotomy required three during learning curve. Median duration operation 157 minutes 50-370). There no mortality morbidity 5.5% (brachial plexus palsy two urinary tract infection one). hospital stay 3.5 days 1-11). were 4 recurrences (7.4%). Functional at 12 months showed presence constipation 20.3% (persistence eight de novo three) outlet obstruction 25.9% six eight). Anal continence improved 72.4% 29 who complained symptom. questionnaire satisfactory result 96% patients. CONCLUSION: is safe efficient procedure treat prolapse; low. least equivalent that obtained open procedures terms continence, obstruction.
