摘要: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) produces reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO) in macrophages. These molecules are involved inflammation associated with endotoxic shock. Selenium (Se), a biologically essential trace element, modulates the functions of many regulatory proteins signal transduction affects variety cellular activities, including cell growth survival. We demonstrate that Se attenuated LPS-induced ROS NO production murine macrophage cultures vitro. This Se-decreased was demonstrated by decreases both mRNA protein expression for inducible synthase (INOS). The preventive effects on INOS were p38 mitogen-activated kinase- nuclear factor-κB-dependent. specifically blocked activation but not c-jun-N-terminal kinase extracellular signal-regulated kinase; p38-specific pathway confirmed using inhibitor SB 203580. results suggest mechanism which Se...
