摘要: Abstract The development of high-resolution Ge(Li) detectors has created a need for gamma-ray coincidence analysis systems able to process and store the large quantities data generated. We describe megachannel pulse-height system that can sort these on line. This is accomplished using 32K-word PDP-8/E minicomputer two moving-head disks provide storage capacity 2 18 events at any 20 locations. An X -or Y -pulse-height spectrum, in with one four arithmetically combined peak background windows, be assembled CRT display spectral within 2–20 s. rapid recovery allows convenient set-up monitoring experiments anlyysis accumulated data. To test performance system, we made directional-correlation measurements cascades 134 Ba 110 Cd. Analyses gave E2/M1 mixing ratios most transitions agreed well published results. Using this its improved energy resolution processing capabilities, obtained new ratio results 13.3 ± 2.1 563 keV transition −1.24 0.20 1505
