摘要: Sedentary behaviour (SB) is a risk factor for chronic disease and premature mortality. While many individual studies have examined the reliability validity of various self-report measures assessing SB, it not clear, in general, how self-reported SB (e.g., questionnaires, logs, ecological momentary assessments (EMAs)) compares to device accelerometers, inclinometers). The primary objective this systematic review was compare versus adults. Six bibliographic databases were searched identify all which included comparable measure Risk bias within across assessed. Results synthesized using meta-analyses. 185 unique studies. A total 123 comprising 173 comparisons data from 55,199 participants used examine general criterion validity. average mean difference -105.19 minutes/day (95% CI: -127.21, -83.17); underestimated sedentary time by ~1.74 hours/day compared measures. Self-reported spent at work ~40 minutes higher than when assessed devices. Single item performed more poorly multi-item EMAs logs/diaries. On average, inclinometers, logs/diaries significantly different, but had substantial amount variability (up 6 studies) with approximately half over-reporting under-reporting. 54 provided an assessment measure, on good (ICC = 0.66). Evidence suggests that single-item generally underestimate For accuracy, shorter recall period should be encouraged above single questions longer periods if outcome study. Users also aware high degree between tools. Studies exert caution comparing associations different health outcomes. PROSPERO CRD42019118755
