摘要: Over the past two decades, there has been an increase in number of anti-reflux operations being performed. This is mostly due to use laparoscopic techniques, increasing prevalence gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) population, and unwillingness patients take acid suppressive medications for life. Laparoscopic fundoplication now widely available both academic community hospitals, a limited length stay postoperative recovery time, associated with excellent outcomes carefully selected patients. Although operation low mortality morbidity, it late complications, such as gas bloat syndrome, dysphagia, diarrhea, recurrent GERD symptoms. review summarizes diagnostic evaluation appropriate management complications. If reoperation needed, should be performed by experienced foregut surgeons.
