摘要: Abstract Heap bioleaching processes are of increasing interest in the mining industry to recover metals from secondary ores. Recently, it has been proposed use feedback control improve rate mineral extraction. In this paper we compare two approaches, namely Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Extremum Seeking (ESC), copper extraction a heap process. Simplified linear models obtained previous work used design an MPC strategy incorporating input constraints. ESC is tuned maximise using aeration rate. Simulation results run on high complexity model process show that similar rates can be either strategy. While better efforts with MPC, achieves shows potential for intrinsically complex process, requiring little knowledge about plant.
