摘要: Abstract The environmental impacts of British agriculture have been a popular focus in recent years within Landscape Research. However, to date, little attention has paid the case hay meadows, an important feature landscape cultural, agricultural and ecological terms, one which threatened with decline. paper considers factors marginalized meadows discussion agri-environment relations, showing that lack definitive data on government funding for more intensive farming practices, ephemeral nature contributed their ‘silent’ Drawing study Peak District UK, attempts current agri-envrionment schemes encourage ‘traditional’ management, problems associated use this term its connotations, are considered.
