摘要: Two kinkajous (Potos flavus) were equipped with radio-transmitters and tracked during a 14- 7-day period in primary forest of French Guiana. Both individuals strictly nocturnal. They moved between food patches (flowering or fruiting trees) c. 65% the night, visited trees 20%, while remaining time was devoted to rest. Rest tended peak middle whereas distances travelled peaked at beginning end night. Minimum maximum home range areas, estimated from minimum area convex polygon methods respectively, reached 15.7 17.6 ha female, 26.6 39.5 male. Mean daily activity amounted 5.5 11.3 Distances night averaged 1495 m for 2540 In contrast male used periphery more intensively than centre its range. occupied several roosts located canopy, but one far frequently others. The male's all situated range.Kinkajous observed feeding on flowers fruits 15 plant species. Among 10 species exploited fruits, least seven dispersed. Dispersal 200 ± 75 (13 seed dispersal occurrences 16 defecations), transit varied 45 min 3 h 35 min. P. flavus appears be nocturnal, solitary, generalist fruit flower-eater an important agent.
