摘要: It has been shown that the auxin, indoleacetic acid (IAA), exerts a marked influence on pectic metabolism in growing cell walls of Avena coleoptile (12). The methyl ester group in substances is known to be derived, part at least, from methyl group methionine (21, 22). Through use of methionine-C^(14)H_3, it was IAA markedly increases rate formation groups in wall material without detectably changing degree which substances are esterified (12).
