摘要: Abstract A novel, physically strong, quaternary-ammonium-functionalised radiation-grafted ETFE alkaline anion-exchange membrane (AAEM) has been developed for application in fuel cells without undesirable addition of M + OH − into the anode stream, thereby facilitating stable performances and long term operational lifetimes. promising H 2 /O cell peak power performance 130 mW cm −2 was obtained an electrode assembly, while a maximum density 8.5 mW cm metal-cation-free methanol/O cell. Mass transport phenomena electrodes inadequate interface between were identified as major limiters performance; need architectures to be optimised identified.
