摘要: Abstract Knowledge of skin biology and its alterations in different populations is very important for the development appropriate care strategies. To evaluate compare morphological, structural biophysical properties photoaged French Brazilian using imaging techniques. A total 41 healthy, female volunteers aged between 40 65 years old were enrolled study after providing written informed consent. Each participant completed a questionnaire concerning habits related to cosmetic use, sun exposure protection during life periods. Skin on face volar forearm was evaluated non-invasive techniques determine colour, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), stratum corneum content, microrelief, viscoelasticity dermis structure. Reflectance confocal microscopy used measure epidermal layer thickness morphological characteristics. Compared skin, more hydrated, had lower TEWL presented distinct viscoelastic profile forearms face. facial wrinkled, less echogenic both The participants thicker corneum. prevalence rete ridge effacement, low inter-keratinocyte reflectance, huddled collagen solar elastosis. Morphological, differences found when assessing participants, who exposed environmental factors. This article protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
