摘要: Food competition between American mink and otters was measured by comparing the diets of sympatric otter populations with those allopatric populations. Niche breadth narrower for than mink. wider both on islands where they co-existed in comparison to that overlap lower mammalian prey, however, niche not reduced small without prey. Obtained data suggest compete food resources and, when alternative prey sources are available, become more generalist predators avoid otters. However, species generalist.
