摘要: Abstract In this work, sheaf-like barium carbonate (BaCO3) crystals were fabricated under the regulation of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) via a novel carbonation route with compressed CO2. It was found that sheaves lied in middle while rods branched off at both ends sheaf. addition, it interesting to discover fine structures BaCO3 (such as length, sheaf, rod diameter, open-angle, etc.) depended lot on concentration added CMC. As revealed by molecular dynamic simulation, morphological variations due selective attachment CMC chains onto (222) plane witherite unit. The attached would change crystallization manner and lead modulation crystal morphology. And growth believed follow twinning spherulitic route.
