摘要: Herbicides are the most common agrochemicals used in crops. Among them, glyphosate is widely applied world. Herbicides, especially organophosphates, have been shown to be hazardous non-target species, including amphibians. The present study evaluated acute and chronic effects of glyphosate-based herbicide (GBH), Roundup original® DI on tadpoles from two South American native Physalaemus cuvieri P. gracilis. Spawnings were collected natural environment maintained laboratory under controlled conditions. Acute toxicology trials began at stage 25 Gosner (Herpetological 16:183–190, 1960). In an toxicity assay, seven GBH concentrations between 100 4500 μg a.e./L tested over 96 h. For trials, subjected both doses allowed by Brazilian legislation found waters Brazil Argentina, 65 1000 μg a.e/L 14 days. Glyphosate had lethal studied species. Tadpoles showed shorter lengths lower masses; that is, those survived suffered growth weight. maximum acceptable toxicant concentration for mortality malformation was than level waters. this presented a high environmental risk
