摘要: Abstract Background The study was conducted to assess the effects of levonorgestrel (LNG) on hormonal behavior and secretory pattern intrauterine glycodelin at midcycle ovulatory women. Study Design Thirty healthy sterilized women with normal ovarian function were studied during one control untreated cycle LNG-treated cycle. In treated cycle, each woman received two doses 0.75 mg LNG 12 h apart preovulatory phase approximately 2 days before LH surge. Daily follicle development recordings performed until rupture observed, serum glycodelin, LH, estradiol, estrone progesterone measured as well. addition, concentrations assayed in uterine flushing obtained Days LH+1 LH+12. Results did not modify 20 30 spite occurrence these women, luteal length significantly decreased, well estradiol periovulatory phase. Glycodelin flushings elevated when compared cycles. Conclusions taken dose used emergency contraception surge increased prematurely time ovulation. Since there are established inhibitory upon fertilization, results may represent an additional action situations where intervention interfere
