Low temperature aqueous phase synthesis of silver/silver chloride plasmonic nanoparticles as visible light photocatalysts

摘要: A one pot and environmentally benign synthetic route for plasmonic photocatalytic Ag@AgCl nanoparticles in a PVA-dissolved aqueous solution system is presented. The synthesized AgCl has cubic-shape its edge length can be controlled from ∼57 to ∼170 nm by varying the reaction temperature. In this system, PVA was used as stabilizer formation of through interaction with Ag+ ions. After partial reduction L-arginine, metallic Ag formed on surface substrates contents mainly affect both visible-light absorption properties efficiency nanocomposites. plausible growth mechanism silver during process proposed. More importantly, it verified that size substrate affected light region nanocomposite.
